CCPHC: Preventive Oral Health Prog= A licensed dental professional from CCPHC will provide an oral screening on the children and apply a coating of fluoride varnish to the their teeth. Fluoride varnish is safe & effective in preventing & reversing small areas of early tooth decay. Includes oral health info & a toothbrush.

MO Department of Health Services- Clay County Public Health Center: Preventive Oral Health Program is offered to all children in the state of Missouri, including those who receive regular dental care. A registered dental hygienist from Clay County Public Health Center will provide follow-up phone calls to parents/guardians of children who are found to have early or urgent dental care concerns. A licensed dental professional from Clay County Public Health Center will provide an oral screening on the children and apply a thin coating of fluoride varnish to the children's teeth as a preventive measure against tooth decay. The fluoride varnish will be applied twice furing the school year. Fluoride varnish has been proven to be safe and effective in preventing and reversing small areas of early tooth decay. The preventive program also includes oral health information/education and a toothbrush.
